Actually, It doesn’t matter to us whether you are living a sober life or not, just as long as you are sober on the afternoon of the show! At this London sober event we see a huge different demographic of people every show. Some attendees are sober curious, some just not drinking for the afternoon, some in recovery, the list could go on...
Before you ask does anyone attend alone, YES is the answer! You will be extremely well looked after, and if you wish we will introduce you to others & sober social groups that may be present.
We also welcome anyone 16 + to join us and experience this top afternoon out in East London.
The truth is you wouldn’t even know it’s an alcohol-free afternoon out…Unlike other sober events we do not stick name badges on you, we treat you as adults ! 😊 Just Imagine a Comedy Club just not serving booze…yup thats us!
Our shows take place in the afternoon, with doors opening at 2pm and show starting at 3.30pm. Once inside the show auditorium you really wouldn’t know if its day or night! With this start time, it makes it easier for you to join us from all over the UK. We have had visitors from Wales , Nottingham, Brighton all join us for the afternoon!
From 2pm we welcome you to join us for the pre-show social. We see many people use this time to meet and chat with other likeminded non-drinkers. Our shows also attract many sober social groups, who use the large bar space to meet and enjoy a game of table tennis, pool or table football before showtime.
With a large offering of Alcohol-Free drinks, the Backyard Comedy Club leads the way for Comedy Clubs with a large offering of great alcohol-free drinks. Whatever tickles your fancy from an Adult soft drink , to a fancy AF Beer, these are readily available. Sit back and soak up the atmosphere as it builds towards showtime….
From 3pm the show auditorium opens , which is London’s largest state of the art purpose built comedy space. Get ready to Sober Laugh Out Loud as we head towards showtime at 3.30pm. Sit back and laugh the afternoon away sober style with 4 Top Comedians !
With two show intervals there is plenty of time to refill your glass or visit the loo!
5.30pm the show is brought to a close, where you are GUARENNTEED to leave feeling amazing.. having lost yourself in 2 hours of seriously funny stand-up comedy! You might also be thinking when is the next show…..!
