The London Alcohol-Free Comedy Club Dry January Special
Thank You to all that joined us on Sunday afternoon at The London Alcohol-Free Comedy Club. It really was a very special afternoon. If you missed it….the joke is on you!
From doors opening at 2pm at The London Alcohol-Free Comedy Club, our lovely audience arrived early to enjoy the pre-show social in the large bar area. With a big choice of the best Alcohol-Free drinks, there were many happy faces around the venue!
It was great to see so many people joining us for the first time, at this large London Alcohol-Free Event. We even had guests join us from as far as Ireland for the afternoon!
The buzz in the bar space pre -show really was something very special, as we headed towards showtime at 3.30pm.
We were treated to an absolute master class in stand-up comedy on the afternoon :)
Our host MC Sally- Anne Hayward was on fire from the off. We were so pleased to have Sally join us again. Sally was on the line- up of one of our first ever Alcohol-Free shows back in 2018 in Essex . First up Stefano Paolini got us Sober Laughing Out Loud with a fine blend of stand-up, beat boxing & impressions! Stef appeared on Britain’s Got Talent back in 2022 and has been a great supporter of Sober IS Fun since our inception back in 2018.
After the second interval we welcomed Cally Beaton to the stage. Cally is a very familiar face from TV, appearing on a large number of shows, but most recently Live at the Apollo ! Cally got us roaring from the off and was loved by all.
To close the afternoon show we welcomed a very good friend and top stand -up Mike Gunn. Mike is reaching cult status on the stand-up circuit after 25 years at the very top of his game. Mike has appeared on live at the Apollo and Michael McIntyres Comedy Road Show, we were chuffed to bits to have him join us.
